Unlike standard cables that rely on just Aramid yarn (Kevlar) and a plastic jacket, an armored cable adds a layer of metal protection.Usually a spiral stainless steel tape or a corrugated metal tube wrapped around the buffered fiber.

Primary Usages and Applications
1. FTTA (Fiber-to-the-Antenna)
BBU (Baseband Unit): Located at the bottom of the tower (in a cabinet or "shelter"). This processes the data.

RRU / RRH (Remote Radio Unit/Head): Located at the top of the tower, right next to the antennas. This converts the data into radio waves.
