A Push-Tab MPO/MTP Patch Cable (also known as a Pull-Tab or Extended Tab cable) is a specialized design that solves the "finger-access" problem in crowded network racks."Push-Tab" design adds a flexible, reinforced plastic tab (or "tail") to the connector housing.
Insertion: You hold the tab or the connector body to push it into the port until it clicks.
Extraction: To remove it, you simply pull the tab. The tab is mechanically linked to the connector’s sliding latch. Pulling the tab retracts the internal pins and releases the cable cleanly.
Primary Usages and Applications
1. Ultra-High Density (UHD) Enablement
Push-tab cables allow ports to be stacked side-by-side and top-to-bottom with zero gap.
2. Tool-Less Accessibility，the extended tab acts as a built-in handle.
3.Better Airflow and Cooling，Less "cable bulk" blocking the exhaust fans of high-speed switches.
